Job Descriptions
Ovens Cook

Looking for people who are highly motivated, work well on a team, and are organized with good time management skills.  You must have a positive attitude and possess good communication skills. Prior cooking experience not necessary.  Food handler’s certification is recommended.

Overall duties include: cooking with an oven, induction burners and use of steam tables; learning proper processes for set up, turn over and cleaning; assisting with food prep; properly adhering to cleaning schedules and practices; correct food rotation and preparation.

You will need to pass a menu, work manual and general kitchen knowledge test, all information of which will be provided to you. WHMIS training is provided.

You will be trained on the salad station as well and be responsible for knowing how to prepare all food items for that station.

Cleaner/Maintenance

Looking for people who are highly motivated, work well on a team or independently who are organized and have good time management skills.

This morning job is a self-directed position where you will need to follow the steps to setting up the restaurant in a timely manner.

General duties: cleaning the washrooms, setting up the chairs, maintaining the volleyball courts, being in charge of the general cleanliness of the restaurant.  Maintenance includes changing light bulbs, fixing tables and loose boards, sweeping and/or digging out sand

You will need to pass a test pertaining to our work manual. WHMIS training will be provided.

Dishwasher

You are responsible for washing and putting away dishes.  You will be trained on how to use the industrial dishwasher: how to properly and safely change the dishwashing detergents and test the chemicals; how to clean the dishwasher so to runs at its optimal performance; and how to properly load dishes so that they clean properly.

As a dishwasher you need to be able to handle a busy and chaotic area.  Being organized is one of the most important aspects.

There are times you work with a team of fellow dishwashers and times when you work alone, learning how to work efficiently in both instances is important.

Fryer Grill Cook

Looking for people who are highly motivated, work well on a team, and are organized with good time management skills and a positive attitude.  You must possess good communication skills and have prior cooking experience.  Food handler’s certification is recommended.

Overall duties include: cooking with deep fryers, charbroiler, induction burners, broiler and use of steam tables; learning proper processes for set up, turn over and cleaning; assisting with food prep; properly adhering to cleaning schedules and practices; correct food rotation and preparation.

You will need to pass a menu, work manual and general kitchen knowledge test, all information of which will be provided to you. WHMIS training is provided.

You will be trained on both the fry station and grill station and placed where best suits the kitchen after assessing your skills.

Food Runner/Busser

Looking for people who are highly motivated, work well on a team, and are organized with good time management skills.  You must have a positive attitude and possess good communication skills. Prior experience not necessary.  Smart Serve recommended but not required.

A food runner busser at GTs you will be supporting the servers and bartenders.  Duties include running food to the customers.  You will need to learn extensive knowledge of the menu and the table numbers, we will train you so you are prepared.  You will also be required to bus tables, run dishes to the dishwashing area, help with side duties and stock supplies as needed.

WHMIS training will be provided.

Salad/Dessert Cook

This is a part time position where shifts can start as early as 4am. This position could be combined with Kitchen Cleaner or Cleaner/Maintenance for full time hours.

Duties include: laundry, washing and prepping produce, general kitchen prep, receiving the produce order.

You will need to pass a menu, work manual and general kitchen knowledge test, all information of which will be provided to you. WHMIS training is provided.

Kitchen Cleaner

Looking for people who are highly motivated, work well on a team yet also on their own, are organized, and have good time management skills.  Prior experience not necessary.

This is an early morning part time position where shifts can start as early at 4am.  Your responsibilities would include deep-cleaning kitchen equipment, walls and floors on a rotating schedule.  Additionally you are in charge of cleaning the deep fryers daily.  This position could be combined with either Morning Prep or Cleaning/Maintenance to provide full time hours.

WHMIS training will be provided.  You will need to pass a test pertaining to our work manual and general kitchen knowledge, all information of which will be provided to you.

Security Staff
Looking for experienced licensed part-time weekend security staff to ensure as safe and secure environment for our patrons and staff.  You must provide your own transportation to Port Stanley.  Day and Night shift available.
Server

Looking for people who are highly motivated, work well on a team, and are organized with good time management skills and a positive attitude.  You must possess good communication skills and have prior serving experience.  Smart Serve Certification is required.

Full and part-time positions available although preference will be given to those available full time, any hours.

Overall duties include: customer service, side duties, opening and closing the restaurant.
